Got You Covered: Stairway To Heaven
Led Zeppelin is an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The group consisted of guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. Their heavy, guitar-driven sound, rooted in blues on their early albums, has drawn them recognition as one of the progenitors of heavy metal, though their unique style drew from a wide variety of influences, including folk music.
One of their well known songs is "Stairway to Heaven". It should be noted that they are currently being sued by representatives of another artist that claims Jimmy Page ripped off the chords for the song from one of their songs. The two bands had toured together at one point and thus became familiar with each other's music.
But this post isnt about the lawsuit. This post is about the covers.

Heart, gave a performance at the Kennedy Center, in which they played the song. The footage in the video, shows both Robert Plant and Jimmy Page in the audience, and their reaction. Robert Plant is seen wiping away tears. It's quite moving.

I found a third cover that I also enjoyed. It's an instrumental version by Rodrigo y Gabriela, a Mexican acoustic guitar duo. They give the song some Latin flavor.
