When Music Collides: Don't You Forget To Relax About Paranoimia

Today brings another segment in the ‘When Music Collides’ series. I hope that you find some enjoyment from this.  Posts in this segment will be short and sweet, and mostly done just for fun.

We’ve got our monthly battles of the bands where typically two cover versions of a song battle it out for votes. This new segment is not a battle. It’s more of a collision of music. Sometimes the end result is quite amazing.

I’m calling these musical collisions, but they are more commonly known as mashups.

Today’s featured collision involves three bands:

Simple Minds - Don't You Forget About Me

Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Relax

Art Of Noise - Paranoimia

Give this a listen and tell me what you think of this collision.

Was this a fun collision, or just a bad wreck?

Is this something that you would like to see as a regular feature here on the blog?  Tell me about it in the comments below.

  2. Good mash-up. I remember well the songs as well as the videos. Back in the day I was especially into Art of Noise. Their songs were often mash-ups in themselves. I've had a few musical mash-ups in mind for future BOTB matches, but I don't know that I'll ever get around to using them.

I've posted a BOTB pairing today if you'd like to come vote.
