I’m writing today’s post early, as it seems that I am just insanely busy as of late.

Time again for Song Lyric Sunday!  The Idea was formed by Helen at This Thing Called Life One Word At A Time.  Helen has been ill for quite some time, so Jim at A Unique Title For Me has stepped up as Guest Host for this fun weekly post.  A Hearty Thank You goes to Jim for posting the themes for the month, as it seems my schedule is just crazy lately.

Look what they’ve done to my song, Ma!  I’m sure many artists who have had their songs covered have wanted to say this very thing.  Some may be rolling over like Beethoven, while others are very much flattered.

Today’s theme for #MondaysMusicMovesMe or #4M has been chosen by “The Shadow”.  They will be the ‘music conductor’ for the month of January.  This week our mysterious musical conductor has requested that we choose tunes with the word ‘Shadow’ in them. Alrighty then, Mr Shadow.  This seems like a good challenge and I am up for it!

Here it is the middle of January! Where does the time go? I know I’ve been rather busy lately, so the time just flies right by. Today I am revisiting a song that one of our former participants used about 3 ½ years ago. In her battle, she used the original artist and a newer artist. The original artist blew the other away with results of 21-6.  Today, I’ve got two different artists covering the song.

We’ve just wrapped up the first week of January. Are your resolutions still intact?

Today’s theme for #MondaysMusicMovesMe or #4M has been chosen by “The Shadow”.  They will be the ‘music conductor’ for the month of January.  Today’s assignment is Elvis Presley, as his birthday is January 8.  In addition, we have been instructed to pick an additional song from the Elvis Presley era.  That’s where it gets a bit interesting, as Elvis was around from the mid 1950’s until late 1970’s.
