#4M: Labor Day Edition

Welcome back for Monday’s Music Moves Me (aka #4M)

It’s a new month and that means we have a new co-host/musical conductor, and that conductor is Yours Truly!

I thought that since the Labor Day Weekend is here, that we should do something fun and random.  So for our theme today, we are building a playlist that spells ‘Labor Day’.  Instead of using song titles to build this playlist today, I will be using Artist/Band Names.

Linkin Park - Numb
Abba - Fernando
Blondie - One Way Or Another
Offspring - The Kids Aren’t Alright
Rival Sons - Pressure and Time

Don Henley - Dirty Laundry
Alice Cooper - I Never Cry
Young The Giant - My Body

What are you doing for your long weekend?  Tell me in the comments below.

Alright now, you’ve heard me tease about #RocktoberMusicFest2019 and now I have the details for you!  In case you missed the announcement post - you can find those details HERE

  2. Clever idea using the artist names instead of the song titles for the acrostic! This was a lot of fun!

Mary and I are going out for coffee this afternoon, then coming home and having ribs!

    1. Ribs sound really good about now. When I was with my last boyfriend, ribs were a holiday treat for us, too! I went with artist names to avoid any crossovers in the setlists. Everyone did a great job this week!

  3. Very cool. I like how you used groups instead of songs. Very cool playlist. Nice.

    1. Hi Janet!

It's really pretty easy to create a playlist. On your first video, Click on the +Save, select Create New Playlist. Give it a name, choose whether you want it to be public or unlisted (I usually go with unlisted) and then Save. Then find your next video you want added to the playlist, click the +Save and click the box next the name of your playlist.

  7. Mary,

It's great having you on board as this month's honorary co-hostess! Naturally, I loved your theme - funtastic idea! You did a little twist with yours. Cool! My youngest daughter introduced Linkin Park to me many years ago. At the time they were a bit too hard for me but grew on me the more I listened to them. You have an eclectic playlist with songs sure to appeal to everyone on the dance floor and you introduced me to a couple of new bands with Offsprings and Rival Sons. Don Henley and Blondie are my favorites on the list but I sorta had a dark passion for Alice Cooper's mewsic back in the day. I've learned over the years that he seems like a nice guy.

We didn't do anything special for the holiday. Just kept things low. Thanks for putting the boogie in me so early this morning. Have a boogietastic week, darlin'!

    1. Thanks Cathy!

I didn't do much over this weekend except do my very best to take it easy. Here it is Tuesday, and my week has already been filled with chaos. This mess has got to clear up soon! I still have about half of my October posts to put together, but September is done :)
      Have a great week!

  8. Very nice playlist. I like a lot of Linkin Park and this is one of their best. Offspring's song is an old favorite, too, but what got me going was the very last song, Young the Giant. I had never heard of either them or the song, and it was fantastic. Nice find, thank you! Our Labor Day was low key; had my son over for a BBQ. But the day before, we went to a free live music event at our local zoo and enjoyed a nice jazz band while we were there. Hope you had a great week.
