Love Is In The Air: I'd Really Love To See You Tonight

February 22, 2020

Month-long celebration of Love featuring Love Songs from the 70’s.

You are more than welcome to join in the fun, all you need to do is include a link to your post in the comments so that everyone can visit. The more the merrier :)  Your songs do not need to be from the 70’s, but they do need to be Love Songs.

Alright! Let’s get this party started! Fill up those waterbeds, break out the black lights and disco balls and let’s have some fun!

The song for today -

I’d Really Love To See You Tonight by England Dan & John Ford Coley

Wikipedia tells us about this song:

"I'd Really Love to See You Tonight" is a song written by Parker McGee and was a hit by England Dan & John Ford Coley from their 1976 album Nights Are Forever. It eventually peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for two weeks, behind Wild Cherry's "Play That Funky Music" and #1 on the Easy Listening chart. Billboard ranked it as the #21 song for 1976. It reached #26 in the official UK chart.

Dan Seals, the "England Dan" half of the duo, re-recorded the song in 1995 in an acoustic country music style. In case you are wondering, Dan Seals is the younger brother to Jim Seals of Seals and Crofts (Summer Breeze)

Won’t you join me in this fun month-long theme? Again, all you need to do is post your link in the comments.

  2. Great song! I went to a John Ford Coley concert last year in little ol' Payson, AZ. Great concert, and I was blown away by his piano playing and the fact he was a classically-trained pianist!

    1. That's awesome, Arn! This song was playing during one of my treatments yesterday. I was making the young girls name the songs and artists as they came on.
