Weekly Song Challenge, Week 12

Time for the Weekly Song Challenge!

How it works:
Each week, I will provide a list of 3 topics or themes.

You come up with 1 song for each of the 3 themes.

Now, I know several of you like to plan ahead, so I’ve got a page prepared where you can find the upcoming themes..

This Week’s Song Challenge:

  1. A Toy: Rag Doll by Aerosmith

  2. A Month: November Rain by Guns n Roses

  3. A Boat or ‘Boating’: Rock The Boat by Hues Corporation

I’ve decided to go with a simplified linky tool to make it easier for others to get to your blog posts. You are also most welcome to post in the comments as well.

See you all again next week!

  1. Mary,

Your trio rocks this week. We matched up on "Rag Doll" by Aerosmith. I can a hair to picking the same three as you but I was certain "November Rain" and "Rock the Boat" would get used multiple times today. I love the sound of Hues Corporation! I snagged your linky code and put it in my post just now. ;) Thanks for hosting the fun, my friend. Have a wonderful day!!

    2. "April She will Come" by Simon and Garfunkel
    3. "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot

    1. Hey Arn!
Wreck of Edmund Fitzgerald - Excellent choice! I had to look up the others. So good job there as well!

    2. Thanks, Mary! Roger Miller was my favorite singer when I was a kid--my folks told me at age 3 I could pull out the Roger Miller Golden Hits album if asked and put it on the turntable and play it. I loved his music, but I never heard "Old Toy Trains" till I was an adult--reminds me so much of my childhood.

  4. You match with Cathy on the first one. I never heard of the 2nd song but it is not my cup of tea(big surprise eh)but I love the last song choice. I am looking forward to more themes. You could choose one with famous people in the song. Beach. "crazy" people (sounds very politically incorrect but I can't think of another nice way to say it). drinks. favourite colour. Gems, running, Help, etc...:)

Let me know you stopped by and let me know what you liked about the post, or what you didn't like. If you are a blogger, be sure to include a link to your blog, so that I can easily reciprocate.
