Rocktober 6, 2023

Rocktober 6th!

Today our song is: Enter Sandman by Metallica

Wikipedia tells us this about the song:

"Enter Sandman" is a song by American heavy metal band Metallica. It is the opening track and lead single from their self-titled fifth album, released in 1991. The music was written by Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. Vocalist and rhythm guitarist Hetfield wrote the lyrics, which deal with the concept of a child's nightmares.

Just a reminder that the songs that I am bringing to you this month are based on some survey from some website (I don’t even recall where, so don’t ask) They had fans respond with their favorite Rock tunes, and these are the top 31(ish) I say ish because I out-voted one or two that I didn’t agree with in their ranking. We’re working our way up to the Number One spot.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow to see what is next on the list! Feel free to join in the fun. The more the merrier, I say!

  2. I'm a HUGE Metallica fan and this is one of their most iconic songs. It's one of their closing numbers on the current concert tour. ♥

Not to be snarky, but (no, *seriously*!, but... )
Why should we care about songs from some survey that you, yourself, don't even remember?

I would MUCH RATHER see a list of your own 31-ish favorite Rock songs. Half of the people who voted in this anonymous survey are probably gone from "this world" already because... because... well, uhm... because they got the... uh... YOU KNOW WHAT!

I hope we get some Tiny Tim coming here soon! A whole month of dead-beat dads and NO Tiny Tim?!! Say it ain't so!

    1. You really are bossy! Considering that I have already put together the posts for this month and next (currently working on December), you are just gonna have to suck it up and deal. Tiny Tim can kiss my ... I ain't got time to be told what I should or shouldn't be posting. I don't always agree with what everyone else posts, but you know what? I have learned to stay in my lane and not post snarky comments when I don't agree. Perhaps you could learn this same trait. (I ain't holding my breath on that...)

    2. WELL, I NEVER!...

I haven't been spoken to this roughly since Laura Leather did it at Madam Wong's Bunny Ranch early last week. And I had to pay $300 for THAT! (The dog collar wasn't even included in that price. I had to pay extra for it!)

      >>... Tiny Tim can kiss my ...

Don't think for one second that she wouldn't do it.

      >>... I have learned to stay in my lane

I own *all* of the lanes, and have a Bill of Sale to prove it.

See if I ever offer any more helpful suggestions to you (prior to October 7, 2023, 11:00 AM Pacific Time)!!

When I was 10 years old, I told my Ma, "You can punish me, but it ain't gonna make no difference."
      She replied, "Don't say 'ain't'."
So I corrected myself and said, "You can punish me, but it ISN'T gonna make no difference."

I'm not sure what it is, but I suspect that there's some sort of lesson in that little story.

I'm truly sorry I upset you, Mary. However, truth be told, this was just a little experiment to see if I could locate that woman who would take a baseball bat to a malfunctioning smoke detector. (Methinks I found her. Very happy to see you here, MMQE! ;-)
