Today brings another segment in the ‘When Music Collides’ series. I hope that you find some enjoyment from this.  Posts in this segment will be short and sweet, and mostly done just for fun.

Time again for Monday’s Music Moves Me!  We have a fun theme for you today. The theme for today is ‘songs about school’.  Last year, I had quite a popular post with some back to school songs that I used in a Friday Five segment, so my work was cut out for me to come up with five more songs this year. Actually, it really wasn’t that hard once I started thinking about it :)

Before we get started with today's post, let's go over the Battle of the Bands Results. The battle was a cover of 'Angel In Your Arms', with the contenders being Barbara Mandrell and Queen Emily.  There was low voter turnout which makes me a little sad, but it was fun watching the votes go back and forth.

Time again for Monday’s Music Moves Me. There really isn’t a theme for today, so I thought I’d share a few random songs that I’ve recently enjoyed, as I’ve struggled with focus lately.  I’ve put them in a playlist so that the page will load faster.

It’s time again for another Battle of the Bands! Today’s song might prove to be a difficult choice. I know I’m having a tough time deciding which version I like best.

Time again for Monday’s Music Moves Me! Today is Sept 11. A date that will not be forgotten soon.  I will never forget where I was and what I was doing on that fateful day.  The emotions that I experienced, the feeling of concern for my country, and I will never forget the feeling of patriotism that the entire country seemed to be experiencing. We are a resilient people.

Time again for the next segment of Like Father, Like Son, except today, I’m going to expand it a bit to include a daughter.  If you recall, in the first segment, we talked about Willie & Lukas Nelson . Then we talked about Leonard & Adam Cohen , and then about Tim & Jeff Buckley . Last time we talked about the Glen Campbell family . Today, we’re going to talk about yet another musical family.
