Glenn Miller and #BOTB Results

I'm baaaack!  Sure, it’s only been two weeks, but it feels like forever since I’ve last posted. While many of you were off celebrating the holidays, I was frantically moving across states. And then the wait…. That awful wait until internet could be connected at the new place. Sometimes I think that was the hardest part of the move. But I am now connected and I feel my lifeline being restored. Just as we have a New Year coming in, I feel like I have a new life beginning.

December Battle of the Bands

December represents ‘the most wonderful time of the year’.  When I think of ‘the most wonderful time’ I am easily transported back to the mid 80’s. I had just completed my first year of college and set off to find that perfect summer job. I found that perfect summer job working for the Sun Valley Resort in Central Idaho.

Mel Tillis Number Ones

Adding to our long list of legends passing away, country music legend Mel Tillis passed away on November19.  He was a successful songwriter and musician. Although he recorded songs since the late 1950s, his biggest success occurred in the 1970s, with a long list of Top 10 hits.

Remembering a Legend: Malcolm Young

The other day, we lost yet another music legend. In 1973, brothers Malcolm and Angus Young started a hard rock/blues rock band. Most fans will will identify their music as good ol’ rock and roll. They had a third brother who was a producer. He produced the music from their earlier years as a band.
