Jingle Jangle Jungle

Today we have a spotlight dancer, Alana from Rambling with AM .  She has chosen the theme for today as “Themes of movies or TV shows!”.  I can tell you I struggled with decision here. At first, I thought about sharing the soundtrack for “ This is Spinal Tap ”, which was released in 1984. But thought it might be too obscure and outrageously dumb for you, my readers, to appreciate.

We’re having a holiday weekend here in the United States.  President’s Day is a day that originally started after the death of our first president, George Washington. His birthday is February 22.  Later, the holiday included Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, which is February 12.

The middle of the month has arrived and that means it is time again for Battle of the Bands! It’s still the month of LOVE , so I am using a song that fits in with the theme.

We were given the theme ‘Valentines Day’ for today’s episode of Monday’s Music Moves Me. I know that not everyone wants to hear love songs. The holiday itself is pretty much overrated.

I had originally thought I was going to write a tribute post for Dennis Edwards, lead singer of The Temptations. He passed away this past week. But my good friend, Michele, has posted a lovely tribute piece, and I’m going to send you to her post instead.

Welcome to the first battle of the bands for this month! After the last A to Z challenge, I was feeling a bit burnt out and needed to cut back on the quantity of posts for a minute. I am happy to report that I am returning to the twice per month schedule for the battles.
