#FridayFive All-time Greatest Country Artists

Time again for the Friday Five! Because I’ve got a full month ahead of 70’s tunes, I thought I would ‘cleanse the palate’ with something different.  Today’s Friday Five will be the top five All time Greatest Country Artists according to Billboard.

The Evolution of Eric Clapton

Eric Clapton is an English rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He is the only three-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: once as a solo artist and separately as a member of the Yardbirds and Cream.

Andy Kim

Andy Kim is a Canadian pop/rock singer.  He was born in Montreal, Quebec as Andrew Youakim. Sources are uncertain as to the year he was born. Some cite his birth year as 1946, while others cite 1952.

#FridayFive The King & I Wish a Happy Birthday

It’s time for the #FridayFive again.  Today, I’m also helping my niece celebrate her 41st birthday. When she was just a baby, she fell in love with a music box that played Elvis Presley’s “Love Me Tender”  Whenever we were in the car, she would cry unless we were listening to Elvis Presley. To this day, Elvis is still her favorite musician.

Manic Monday

In 1984, Prince wrote a song and recorded it as a duet with a group called Apollonia 6. Dissatisfied with the recording, he pulled the song.  Two years later, under the pseudonym "Christopher", he offered it up to another group, The Bangles, to record.

#FridayFive In Like a 'Lion'el

Just having some fun playing on words today. March comes roarin’ in like a lion, and I thought, wouldn’t it be nicer if March came roarin’ in like a Lionel?

The Commodores

The Commodores are an American funk/soul band, which was at its peak in the late 1970s through the mid 1980s. The members of the group met as mostly freshmen at Tuskegee Institute in 1968, and signed with Motown in November 1972, having first caught the public eye opening for The Jackson 5 while on tour.

#FridayFive In Like a Lion

They say that a typical March comes roaring in like a Lion and leaves like a lamb.  I thought it would be a great way to welcome March with a Friday Five of songs with Lion in the title. Next week, I’ve got different take on ‘Lion’ that hopefully you’ll enjoy as well.
