Spell Your Name With An Artist or Group

We’re back again with a twist on last week’s theme!  Last week John had us spelling our names with song, and I thought it would be fun to try to spell my name with artists or groups this week.

I'm going to keep this post short and sweet, because I know you have many others to visit in this bloghop.

Muse - Plug In Baby
All-American Rejects - Swing, Swing
REO Speedwagon - Roll With The Changes
Yes - Owner of a Lonely Heart

Breaking Benjamin - I Will Not Bow
Ugly Kid Joe - I Hate Everything About You
Radiohead - Creep
Red Hot Chili Peppers - The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie
Incubus - Wish You Were Here
Stone Temple Pilots - Dead and Bloated

That was fun! So many choices for artists available. How do you spell your name using artists or groups? Tell me about it in the comments below.

The next battle of the bands takes place tomorrow May 15.  Voting for the battle will be open until Sunday May 20, 3pm EST. I do hope you stop in to listen to the contenders and cast your vote.

Today’s post is part of the Monday’s Music Moves Me BlogHop. Please take a moment to visit the other participants in this BlogHop. As fellow bloggers, they put a lot of effort into their posts and they deserve some visits.

  1. Mary,

Ooo, now that's a good twist! You ought to pick this idea to Marie. I think it's an excellent idea! I think of all of your song selections I only knew two - Yes "Owner of a Lonely Heart" and Radiohead "Creep". RHCP's song I might know but I can't swear to it. I enjoyed all of your picks, though.

Here are the bands that spell out my name but I'm not gonna share my song choice just in case you pass this onto Marie for a future 4M theme. :D

    Chicago
    ABBA
    Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
    Heart
    Yanni

Thanks for sharing the dance floor with us. Have a pawsome week, dear friend. I hope you'll pop by tomorrow for BoTB!

    1. Hi Cathy!

I love the type of themes where there is just so much variety that there is little overlap. I haven't sent my ideas to Marie yet, but will definitely keep this one in mind. (I have a few others brewing in my head as well)

I will most certainly be around for today's post as well as your battle tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

    1. Hey Patrick!

It really wasn't all that difficult. I think the hardest part was choosing which song from the artists to use, and even that wasn't very hard at all.

      Thanks for stopping by!

I do have a few ideas brewing in my head. I'll be sure to email you with them. Possibly August or September? I think that is what is next opening. It's great that you are filling the slots early. Lots of time to prepare :)

    1. I had to look one or two of these up. LOL I'm always learning about new artists and songs - that's one of the many things I love about this blog.

  9. A lot of new ones here for me. All American Rejects? (I liked it). I knew the Stone Temple Pilots but not that song - it rocked. It's strange that I love the major hits of the Red Hot Chili Peppers but there are a lot of their other songs that I really don't like - go figure!
