#RocktoberMusicFest : Velvet Revolver - Fall To Pieces
Now that we’ve had an awesome kick off to this Rockin’ month, let’s get down to business!
If you haven’t taken the opportunity to vote in the current battle of the bands, please do so. It only takes a moment to listen to the contenders and comment with your vote. Don’t worry, the link will open up a fresh window, and I’ll hold your place for you here.
Everyone knows that the rock world has more that it’s share of drug use. Our band today is a tragic story about such things.
Scott Weiland had many a demon. And such a shame, too, because he turned out some really great songs while fronting for bands such as Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver.
This song, ironically, is about Scott Weiland’s battle with heroin and its toll on his relationship with his wife, model Mary Forsberg.
The songwriting is credited to Scott Weiland, Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum, and Dave Kushner - members of the supergroup Velvet Revolver.
Unfortunately, Scott lost his battle with his demons in December 2015.
