#4M : Music That Educates

It’s a new month and that means we have a new musical conductor for Monday’s Music Moves Me.  Our conductor this month is Patrick from Adventures in Weseland Congrats, Patrick!

Patrick has chosen our theme for today as: How Music Educates Us

I sure hope that I have interpreted this theme correctly. I’d sure hate to be sent to the principal’s office or given low marks for doing a piss-poor job.  To be honest, I kind of wracked my brain for a few weeks over this one - and then I just woke up and said to myself that I’m probably overthinking this (something that I tend to do). So, I peeled back the layers of my mental thoughts and am going a simpler route today.

The Barenaked Ladies teach us the alphabet…

They also teach us to count…

And we learn about ninjas…

Speaking of alphabets.... Have you signed up for this year's A to Z Blogging Challenge?  It's their 10th anniversary - and I can't think of a better way to celebrate than to join in the fun!

There you have it… just a short one today!  Hope you learned something

Today’s post is part of the Monday’s Music Moves Me blog hop, hosted by X-Mas Dolly, and co-hosted by JAmerican Spice, Stacy Uncorked, Curious as a Cathy. , and Ramblin with AM. Be sure to stop by the hosts and visit the other participants.  If you have a MUSIC* post, feel free to join in the fun! *sorry non-music posts are not permitted in this bloghop.

  1. Mary,

You took a very fun approach to the theme. It was hard for me, too. You definitely get an A+ on your assignment. ;)

I signed up yesterday for the A to Z Challenge which means I'm scaling things back in Blogsville to get my posts done ahead. I'm keeping with my mewsic hops primarily since I have those scheduled so that worry is off my shoulders. Here's to another year of ABCing together! Have a boogietastic week, dearie!

    1. Thanks, Cathy!

I actually started putting together my posts for A2Z yesterday - but not for this blog. I still need to settle down and figure out what I'm going to do here. I ran a poll recently in my facebook group, but even with that - it's all still up in the air.

      Have a great one!

    1. They have! All of these came from an album geared toward children called 'Snacktime'.

    1. Thanks, Debbie!

I hope I don't suffer from burnout after the challenge, but after taking a pared down approach to it last year, I have a little bit more ambition and drive going into it this year.

  5. What a fun way to learn. Unfortunately I was the only one who didn't know about the prompts changing. I feel like a food. I tried the A-Z Challenge once and quit after Q. Good luck!

    1. Awww. Don't feel bad. That's happened to me on more than one occasion. usually happens when I have my posts written far in advance. That reminds me I need to check in with Michele to see how she's doing. It's been a week or two.

  7. Barenaked Ladies! What fun. I guess they are taking a similar road to They Might Be Giants, another alt-rock band that has turned to children's songs. Nice set!
