#SongLyricSunday : Brrrr

Time again for the Song Lyric Sunday Challenge.  Jim over at A Unique Title For Me who has stepped up as Guest Host for this weekly challenge. Jim has given us the prompt for this week as “Freeze/Cold/Ice”

I struggled with deciding which song I wanted to use for today’s post. There are a few good ones out there that fit the theme quite well. My first thought was Ice Ice Baby (which is a fun song), then I thought about Freeze Frame (which drums up nostalgia and memories of Prom), but then I ultimately settled on this song for today.

I’ve been a fan of Foreigner since the beginning. I have quite a few memories associated with their music.

Cold As Ice is from Foreigner’s debut album. Initially the B-side to “Feels Like The First Time”, although Wikipedia states that is is the B side to “I Need You”. The song has become one of Foreigner’s best known songs

Wikipedia doesn’t give much information, other than the fact that the song has been sampled by a number of artists. The album version is one second longer than the single version, but the single version has an added orchestra track.

Cold as Ice was written by Lou Gramm and Mick Jones
