#RMF2019: AC/DC

Day 3 of #RocktoberMusicFest2019

Today, I’ve got another hard-rockin’ band that has been around for quite some time. Love them or Hate them, they have stood the test of time.

Wikipedia tells us this about AC/DC:

AC/DC are an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by Scottish-born brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. Their music has been variously described as hard rock, blues rock, and heavy metal; however, the band themselves describe their music as simply "rock and roll".

AC/DC has gone through some lineup changes due to death and illness.  Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses currently tours with AC/DC as their lead vocalist.

I’ve put together a set list of his music for you to enjoy!

  1. Thunderstruck
  2. Back in Black
  3. Highway To Hell
  4. You Shook Me All Night Long
  5. Hells Bells
  6. TNT
  7. Whole Lotta Rosie
  8. Let There Be Rock
  9. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
  10. Rock or Bust

I’d love for you to join me in celebrating Rock Music this month. All you need to do is drop the link to your current Rock Music post in the comments. Be sure to code with html so the link is clickable.  (See the announcement post for instructions on that) And then visit everyone that has left their links.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for more #RMF2019 fun!

  1. Mary,

I'm not an AC/DC fan but they do have some great song. I'm trying to remember if I used them this month but I can't say for sure now. My brain is all muttled and I need to go back to bed as soon as DH leaves for work this morning. Your playlist will get everyone rockin' in their chairs or to motivate others while doing those mundane tasks around the house this morning. Whenever you get a chance, I hope you'll stop in to listen to the mini concert with CCR going on my blog. :)

    1. These guys fall into a category for me that I need to be in the mood to listen to them. I have some fun memories associated with their music, but I don't have that hard-hitting drive that makes me want to listen to them every day.

  2. I know only a few of their songs, but yes, i like what I am hearing.

My offering today: the Queen of Rocktober I suspect you will approve.

  3. Carl Perkins, "Matchbox"

I never had much of an affection for AC/DC, but must admit they're quite good, not to mention popular. Good set!

  4. I LOVE AC/DC! (Hubby does NOT! 😆) Never saw them live, but we watched the Toronto SARSStock concert on TV in 2003. AC/DC completely stole the show from the headliners, The Rolling Stones!
Here's to THE THUNDER FROM DOWN UNDER! 🤘🎸🎵
