Today is a group that you either love them or hate them. I prefer to enjoy them.

Wikipedia tells us this about the Doobie Brothers:
The Doobie Brothers are an American rock band from San Jose, California. The group has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide. They have been active for nearly five decades, with their greatest success in the 1970s. The group's current lineup consists of founding members Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons, longtime member John McFee, and touring musicians including Bill Payne, John Cowan, Marc Russo, and Ed Toth.

Here are 10 of their songs:

  1. It Keeps You Runnin’
  2. Depending On You
  3. Take Me In Your Arms
  4. Minute by Minute
  5. Takin’ It To The Streets
  6. China Grove
  7. Listen To The Music
  8. Black Water
  9. Long Train Running
  10. What a Fool Believes

  1. A lot of great tunes were recorded by The Doobies, and several of them are prime examples of "Music To Drive To". Good stuffs, MMQE!

  2. Mary,

I'm struggling to stay on top of things but that's the way it goes anytime I do multiple posts. :) The Doobie Brothers are a great band from the past. As you know I shared their mewsic this month, too. It's the kind of stuff you never get tired of hearing which makes it wonderful to repeat anytime. Have a good day rockin' and when you get a minute feel free to join me in a Flashback to 1973!

    1. Hiya Cathy!

I hear you about the struggle! It seems that just when I get a moment to respond to comments and make my visits, my body decides I need to take a nap, or I get interrupted by something and just don't make it back. I am hoping to get caught up today. Crossing my fingers.

  3. Gerry & The Pacemakers, “Ferry Cross The Mersey”

The Doobies are one of my favorites. I think I prefer the Michael McDonald version better than the Tom Johnston one. Funny how they started sounding like Steely Dan when McDonald joined...
