#RMF2019: Queen

Day 2 of #RocktoberMusicFest2019

We got off to a great start yesterday, let’s keep this place a rockin’! Now, if you didn’t have the opportunity to check out Day 1, you should do that. There’s a fun battle of the bands taking place, and I would love to see everyone’s vote on that.  Today, I’ve got a great band for you that has been around for quite some time.

Wikipedia tells us this about Queen:
Queen are a British rock band formed in London in 1970. Their classic line-up was Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon. Their earliest works were influenced by progressive rock, hard rock and heavy metal, but the band gradually ventured into more conventional and radio-friendly works by incorporating further styles, such as arena rock and pop rock.

I’ve put together a set list of his music for you to enjoy!

  1. Bohemian Rhapsody
  2. We Are The Champions
  3. I Want To Break Free
  4. Don’t Stop Me Now
  5. Somebody To Love
  6. Another One Bites The Dust
  7. Under Pressure
  8. We Will Rock You
  9. The Show Must Go On
  10. Crazy Little Thing Called Love

I’d love for you to join me in celebrating Rock Music this month. All you need to do is drop the link to your current Rock Music post in the comments. Be sure to code with html so the link is clickable.  (See the announcement post for instructions on that) And then visit everyone that has left their links.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for more #RMF2019 fun!

  3. My favorite song from Queen is Bicycle Race. I did a video in high school based on the song. Also, my students love dancing dances from Just Dance and they love the dance for Don’t Stop Me Now.

  4. The Beatles, "Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand"

Had I given myself more time, I might have come up with 31 playlists. This is excellent!

    1. Thanks, John!

No pressure :) I just barely wrapped up putting together the last of my posts for the month at the 11th hour of September (with the exception of the battle results posts) I knew it would be a bit of an undertaking for others, that's why I say there's no commitment to participate each day. Am loving the submissions so far!

  5. Queen was a remarkable band, spanning so many different genres. Great playlist, Mary! 👌 I'm working on a photo essay of the Queen + Adam Lambert concert we went to in July. With music added it could be a Rocktoberfest post, yes? 😎 Coming soon!

Yes! I would love to have your photo essay w/music included in the Rocktoberfest :) Looking forward to it! Any post with music that is of the Rock genre or any of it's subgenres qualifies :)
