#BOTB Results: Robert Burns

Round One of January battles are done!  I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the voting. I didn’t tally up the numbers until just a few hours ago, so I really had no idea what the outcome would be.

Are your resolutions still intact? Did you make any resolutions this year?

Thanks to everyone for your patience while I sort out the spam commenting issue. I think I have come up with a viable solution for now.

Here’s a breakdown of the votes:

Voting for Neoni:
Birgit, Mike, Amy, John

For a total of 4 votes

Voting for Home Free:
Stephen, Robin, Arlee, Cathy, Debbie D

For a total of 5 votes

And in keeping with my tradition of additional video, Here’s Dan Fogelberg with Same Old Lang Syne.

See you all again on the 15th!  While I’ve sorted out what I’m going to do for February Battles, I still haven’t decided about this one on the 15th. Be sure to stop by and be just as surprised as I am :)  I’m working on a special project for February, so stay tuned for more info on that!

  1. Thanks for sharing the outcome of your last battle and for the new year's greeting, my friend. My results post is set for tomorrow. Maybe, I should've done it today. Oh well...too late now. Have a good day, dearie!

  2. Hokey-Smoke! Considering the fact that I feared you might have a shutout on your hands to begin 2020's BOTB installments, this actually was a fantastic Battle. To me, a one-vote margin of victory is the ideal BOTB outcome that I am nearly always hoping for whenever I construct a new contest.

Terrific way to start the New Year's BOTB rounds, MMQE!

I have got you in my prayers, my friend!!

  3. I don't know what happened with spamming this past week, but I got a few thousand spam comments over this past weekend and it was annoyingly time-consuming to eradicate them. Damn spammers! I hadn't had that problem in quite some time and never to the extent this attack happened. And I know I wasn't the only one because I saw a lot of the same comments in comment notifications from other blog sites.

Great Battle and it was good to see I was with the winning side.

I love comments! Did you know that comments that are less than 8 words long are considered spam? So, don't hold back! Spill yer guts. Let me know you stopped by and let me know what you liked about the post, or what you didn't like. If you are a blogger, be sure to include a link to your blog, so that I can easily reciprocate.
