#AtoZChallenge: R
This post is part of a month-long blogging challenge. The challenge is to start the month with the letter A and make our way to letter Z at the end of the month.
A quick review of what we’re doing here:
I’ll post 3 to 5 songs with a word that represents the letter of the day. In the comments, you’ll share songs that also use the selected word in either the title or lyrics. Pretty easy, and loads of fun!
Today’s word is “Ride”
From Dictionary.com:
- Ride Like The Wind - Christopher Cross
- Ticket To Ride - Beatles
- Hitchin’ A Ride - Vanity Fare
- Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf
- Joyride - Roxette
And those are my Rides for the day. Let’s see what Ride songs you come up with. Your songs can be from any musical genre. Share in the comments.
Good to listen "Ride Like The Wind"! Thanks for this one!
ReplyDeleteR is for Rayures
Damn - you already nabbed the two top contenders I had for this word - Ticket to Ride and Joyride :D. Hmmmm ... let's think. Ride on Time by Black Box - now that is taking me back!

Virginia's Parlour - The Manor (Adult concepts - nothing explicit in posts)
Tasha's Thinkings - Vampire Drabbles
You picked a couple of thought of..the Beatles song and the one from Steppinwolf. I will choose The Ride of the Valkyries from Wagner and used in man6 films most notedly in Apocalypse Now. I also thought of Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy by Big & Rich. Does Ghost Riders in the Sky work?
ReplyDeleteFREE RIDE by The Edgar Winter Group

ReplyDeleteThey got most of the ones I thought of but how about Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride"? A Christmastime standard done most notably by The Boston Pops.
ReplyDeleteTicket to ride is one of my favorites. Its on my mind now. Will be listening to it while I work. Haha
ReplyDeleteThanks for the other suggestions.

ReplyDeleteNo new ones to add. But, my favorite of your list is Ticket To Ride by the Beatles. Weekends In Maine
ReplyDelete"Nantucket Sleigh Ride" by Mountain--one of my favorites from this group. I'm sure there are more, but you've gotten a lot covered above.

Ride by Twenty One pilots..
ReplyDeleteYeah.. I am a millennial child.. there are a lot of old songs that I do listen to, like The Queen, Phil Collins, Bryan Adams, ABBA but not as much as the new ones...
I think of Sleigh Ride , the best done by the Boston Pops with Arthur Fiedler as the conductor. Ride my Seesaw by the great Moody Blues. I love Ghost Riders in the Sky
