Weekly Song Challenge, Week 3
Did you have fun last week with the challenge? Let’s do it again!
How it works:
Each week, I will provide a list of 3 topics or themes.
You come up with 1 song for each of the 3 themes.
Now, I know several of you like to plan ahead, so I’ve got a page prepared where you can find the upcoming themes..
This Week’s Song Challenge:
A Color: Red Red Wine by UB40
A Girl’s Name: Proud Mary by Creedence Clearwater Revival
A Boy’s Name: Bad Bad Leroy Brown by Jim Croce
So what say you? Does this sound like a fun game? I hope you’ll join me. Post your links in the comments below, and I look forward to having you join me again next week!
Mary,
ReplyDeleteYou shared some good songs today. CCR and Jim Croce are excellent classic sounds of yesterday. I went through a period in the early to mid-70s where everything I heard come from one of these artists it seemed. "Bad Bad Leroy Brown" brings back youthful essence that I can't explain. What would've been going on in my once young life to cause such feelings to kick in every time I hear this song? Oh well...none of that matters except for the music that lives on. :)
Come join me when you can to listen to my picks for this week on Curious as a Cathy. Have a songtastic day, my friend!
"Yellow Submarine"--the Beatles
ReplyDelete"Martha, My Dear"--the Beatles
"The Ballad of John and Yoko"--the Beatles
I think you could come up with a whole novel comprised solely of strategically-placed Beatles song titles!
Three good songs and categories today! You can find my entry here.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great theme and love the music you chose. I am going with The Blue Danube by either Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops or Andre Rieu and his orchestra. Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds by the Beatles and Bill from Showboat which is so sad.
