Weekly Song Challenge, Week 4

Did you have fun last week with the challenge? Let’s do it again!

How it works:
Each week, I will provide a list of 3 topics or themes.

You come up with 1 song for each of the 3 themes.

Now, I know several of you like to plan ahead, so I’ve got a page prepared where you can find the upcoming themes..

This Week’s Song Challenge:

  1. A Profession: Working in a Coal Mine by Devo
  2. A Day of the Week: Tuesday’s Gone by Lynyrd Skynyrd
  3. A Vehicle: Pickup Man by Joe Diffie

So what say you? Does this sound like a fun game? I hope you’ll join me. Post your links in the comments below, and I look forward to having you join me again next week!

  1. 1. "Hot for Teacher" by Van Halen
    2. "Wednesday Morning 3 A.M." by Simon & Garfunkel
    3. "Little Red Corvette" by Prince

  2. Love your picks. Devo is always fun. Mine are 1. Patricia The Stripper, by Chris DeBurgh. 2. Tuesday Afternoon by the Moody Blues and 3. Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson,

  3. Mary,

My daddy, grandpa, uncles, late FIL, and many others in my family made a living as a coal miner. The future of coal is at stake under the new administration. :( Your song picks for this week's prompts are fabulous. Lynyrd Skynyrd is a fabulous southern rock band. "Pickup Man" made me smile. :D You gotta love country music! Thanks for hosting the mid-week fun, darlin'!
