Weekly Song Challenge, Week 10
Time for the Weekly Song Challenge!
How it works:
Each week, I will provide a list of 3 topics or themes. You come up with 1 song for each of the 3 themes.
Now, I know several of you like to plan ahead, so I’ve got a page prepared where you can find the upcoming themes..
This Week’s Song Challenge:
TV Show Theme Song: All In The Family Theme Song
A Coin: Penny Lover by Lionel Richie
Time of Day: 3AM by Matchbox Twenty
I’ve decided to go with a simplified linky tool to make it easier for others to get to your blog posts. You are also most welcome to post in the comments as well.
See you all again next week!
Mary,
ReplyDeleteAll in the Family was a good old show. Archie Bunker was a hoot! You won't find shows like this being made today. The day when people made fun of themselves for their cultural or gender differences. We both went with "Penny Lover". There weren't too many song choices for your 'coin' prompt which really surprised me. "3AM" is new to me. Thanks for sharing and hosting the fun. By the way, I borrowed your linky code to add to my post this morning. ;)
1. "Rock Around the Clock" by Bill Haley and the Comets (was the theme song for Happy Days the first season)
ReplyDelete2. "Love at the Five and Dime" by Nanci Griffith
3. "Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M." by Simon and Garfunkel
awesome picks, Arn! Thanks for playing along. Love your inputs.
DeleteAll In The Family is a great show and how sad that it would not be made today because of all the political correctness. I never really know what the title of the songs will be because I suck at that until I listen. This is one Lionel Ritchie song I like. The last song I know quite well and enjoyed listening to it.
ReplyDeleteNice selectons! A lot of people don't know that "25 or 6 to 4" was about time...
ReplyDeleteReally? I didn't know that! How is it about time, John?
DeleteNice selection of tunes. "Penny Lover" is my favorite of your picks. Can't go wrong with Lionel Ritchie.
