My Favorite Music Decade

Our musical conductor for the month of August is Alana from Ramblin with AM. Today, Alana has requested we choose a decade and build a playlist of songs from that time.  This is a no-brainer for me. My go-to decade is my happy place - so it’s no big surprise that I’ve chosen the 70s.

Here’s my selection:

  1. 1970 - Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon & Garfunkel

  2. 1971 - Joy To The World - Three Dog Night

  3. 1972 - Without You - Harry Nilsson

  4. 1973 - Will It Go Round In Circles - Billy Preston

  5. 1974 - The Loco-motion - Grand Funk Railroad

  6. 1975 - One Of These Nights - Eagles

  7. 1976 - Play That Funky Music - Wild Cherry

  8. 1977 - Best of My Love - The Emotions

  9. 1978 - Love is Thicker Than Water - Andy Gibb

  10. 1979 - When You’re In Love With A Beautiful Woman - Dr Hook

Today’s post is part of the Monday’s Music Moves Me blog hop, hosted by X-Mas Dolly, and co-hosted by Stacy Uncorked, Curious as a Cathy. , and Ramblin with AM. 1. Mary,

I'm testing out a new web browser and am not certain this will actually post. I loved this morning's 70's music line up! It sure brought back some good vibes from yesterday. I went with this decade on my other blog and my regular blog home I picked the 80s. Both are great decades for music! Thanks for joining the 4M crew on the dance floor, my friend. Have a boogietastic week!

  3. Hi Mary! It's been a while. ☺ There are so many great songs to choose from in the 70s and I'm enjoying your playlist. Have a good week!

  4. These are great songs that I remember so well and have forgotten like that last song. Today, all the top songs sound the same or they are rap which is not my favourite.

  5. I picked the 70's too because I'm rediscovering how much good music it had. Liked your playlist. We had a cover band at the Airmen's Club where my husband was stationed and they introduced me to Play that Funky Music. That song, along with Joy to the World, brings back a lot of memories. And Bridge Over Troubled Waters - that was instant love the first time I heard it. But really, all the songs are good.
