Modern Love Battle Results
Round 2 of the Modern Love Battle has come to an end.
Before I get to the results, I just wanted to apologize for being so late to cast my votes in everyone’s battles. I’ve been fighting a bug (Not COVID) for the past few weeks, and this week, I just wanted to do nothing but SLEEP! That’s put me behind schedule in posting other posts and keeping up with everything. I sure hope I kick this bug soon.
Okay, So how did this battle shake out? Well, not too bad for a bunch of biased viewers! Honestly, it was like watching a tennis match. One vote for contender One, the next for Contender Two.. and back and forth. I’m actually a little bit pleased at how this one turned out.
Here are the results:
Matchbox 20 had 3 votes
Kevin Johansen had 4 votes
I’m truly pleased that Kevin Johansen won this one. When I heard his version, I really enjoyed it.
So who is this Kevin Johansen? Well, Wikipedia tells me that he was born in Alaska one year and 2 days before my arrival on this earth. His mother was an Argentine feminist. When he was about 5 or 6, his parents divorced and his mother married a Mexican painter. Over time that relationship became abusive, and in 1976, his mother took he and his sister home to Argentina. In 1990, He married an Argentine Ballerina and they moved to New York so that she could further her dancing career. Kevin got his musical start by performing regularly at CBGB.
