Ode to Olivia

Olivia Newton-John passed away recently, so I thought today I would post a few of her hit songs.

Wikipedia tells us this:

Dame Olivia Newton-John AC DBE was an English-born Australian singer, actress and activist. She was a four-time Grammy Award winner whose music career included five number-one hits and another ten top-ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100, and two number-one albums on the Billboard 200; If You Love Me, Let Me Know (1974) and Have You Never Been Mellow (1975). Eleven of her singles (including two Platinum) and 14 of her albums (including two Platinum and four 2× Platinum) have been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). With global sales of more than 100 million records, Newton-John is one of the best-selling music artists from the second half of the 20th century to the present.

The performer, best known for her role as Sandy in the film 'Grease', died on August 8, 2022 from breast cancer.

  1. Great set of all her big hits! I'm glad I didn't end up doing a tribute to her as well.

  2. Mary,

I'm happy to see you as well as a few others paying tribute to Olivia today. I remember when she came on the scene in the early 70s, then crossing over from country to pop music. She had a beautiful voice and only one of a few females I truly enjoy listening to. May she finally know peace. Have a boogietastic week, my dear!

  3. A great tribute to a nice lady. I have only heard nice things about this gal. Loved the songs and forgot that she did the 1st one.

  4. RIP to a most talented artist. What an attitude she had during her long struggle, raising funds even as she knew this round of cancer would probably be her last. I knew almost all of these songs, and it was nice hearing them once again. May her memory be a blessing.
