On The Radio
Welcome back to Monday’s Music! For today’s post, Patrick of Adventures in Weseland tells us that August 20 was National Radio Day and has asked for playlists of songs we remember from the Radio.
Since MTV debuted in 1981, I think I’m fairly safe in my selection of hits from the 70s.
- Let It Be - Beatles
- My Sweet Lord - George Harrison
- American Pie - Don McLean
- Angie - Rolling Stones
- Seasons In The Sun - Terry Jacks
- I Can Help - Billy Swan
- Dancing Queen - Abba
- Hotel California - Eagles
- Stayin’ Alive - Bee Gees
- Heart of Glass - Blondie
Today’s post is part of the Monday’s Music Moves Me blog hop. If you have a MUSIC* post, feel free to join in the fun! *sorry non-music posts are not permitted in this blog hop.
Hey Mary,
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny I've read your closing comment on comments but it's just now that I'm picking up that 8 words or less is considered spam. I remember all of these oldies. Sometimes, I'm not sure where I first heard a song in childhood and teen years. Radio reception was terrible at my parents' house and I really wasn't in the car often enough when something on the radio was playing that I actually liked since my folks preferred other genres. You put together a great set of oldies. It was nice to listen to these while I did other things in Blogosphere this morning. I pray you continue to stay on the upside of your battle. You're one of the most amazing people I know. Thanks for joining the 4M party. Sending love and hugs to you, darlin'! 😘
Great choices
