Rocktober 15th!

Today our song is: Highway To Hell by AC/DC

Wikipedia tells us this about the song:

"Highway to Hell" is a song by Australian rock band AC/DC. It is the opening track of their 1979 album Highway to Hell. It was initially released as a single in 1979.

The song was written by Angus Young, Malcolm Young and Bon Scott, with Angus Young credited for writing the guitar riff.  AC/DC had made several studio albums before and were constantly promoting them via a grueling tour schedule, referred to by Angus Young as being on a highway to hell, hence the name.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow to see what is next on the list! Feel free to join in the fun. The more the merrier, I say!

  1. You know the joke … there’s a highway to bell but a stairway to heaven, which tells you the anticipated traffic for each destination

  2. I was never an AC/DC fan and didn't like this song. Funny, because I now have a sizable number of their albums in my collection after being bequeathed them after my youngest brother died. He was a huge fan of the group. The addition of his CD collection to my own greatly expanded my library with albums that I previously didn't have. I was also introduced to some music that was pretty good but I'd never given it a chance before.

I have a BOTB post up if you'd like to cast your vote.
