Song of the Day Dec 4

December 4, 2023

Today our song is: A Holly Jolly Christmas

Wikipedia tells us this about the song:

"A Holly Jolly Christmas" (also called "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas") is a Christmas song written by Johnny Marks and most famously performed by Burl Ives. The song has since become one of the top 25 most-performed "holiday" songs written by ASCAP members, for the first five years of the 21st century.

Enjoy!

  4. Fun fact, Johnny Marks was Jewish, and he was responsible for a number of the modern Christmas songs that are still beloved today. Thank you for featuring one of these today. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

  5. Cute song. A few years ago, when I still got paid for working (ha!) the family-owned business went all-out with the decorations which included a 2-foot singing Santa with quite a swing to his little red bootie. They always put him on my desk. I think his little hip finally went out...
